Golfing Associations
Golf associations are organizations that exist to promote and govern the sport of golf. These associations typically provide a variety of services to their members, including organizing tournaments and events, establishing and enforcing rules and regulations, providing handicapping systems to ensure fair play, and offering education and training programs for golfers of all levels. In an effort to continue to grow the game, Golfworkx is providing links to organizations that play a significant role in shaping the sport and its future. These associations are also instrumental in promoting the values of golf, such as honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship, among their members and the wider golfing community.
Founded in 1937, we are the oldest African American women's golf club in the United States.
The Royal Golf Club has been the oldest club in participation in the UGA and well-respected and recognized nationally for being a group of golfers, gentlemen and sportsmen.
Founded in 2015 by Jason Faircloth,, The US Disabled Golf Association is responsible for organizing golf tournaments for disabled Americans across the United States.
The Women In Golf Foundation, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a 501-C3 organization that promotes women in golf. The organization focuses on creating opportunities for females by implementing programs that develop leadership and life skills as they learn to play the game of golf competitively for business and recreational purposes.
The National Negro Golf Association was founded in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, in July of 1965. Its birth was not conceived from the love of golf, but the love of camaraderie and fun. A small group of black professional students felt the need to reunite and relive some of those golden college days.
The mission of Women of Color Golf is to increase diversity and inclusion in the sport of golf for women and girls through instruction, on-course play, mentoring, networking, special events, health and career-related opportunities.
